Yea... you know you will always find weird people if you live in a city, right? Today is just another day where I didn't have freaking hobos asking to buy them drink or asking for some change. Whatever.
So today story here we go...
While waiting for the bus 2C to go to my student dentist appointment, some black guy was all," Hi, I wonder if you can give me your number?".
I thought it was so lame. I just gave him a simple line, " I'm married, dude".
He was all, " Really?!"
I gave him a nod.
No shit. Gotta love Stevens Square and the freaks, right?. Shit.

The bus arrived finally. I got on. But wait, The bus didn't even move. It turned out the next driver should have arrived there at the first place. He was so late that the other passengers started to yell out " fuck", "motherfucker", and all that stuff out.
He finally arrived. Changed seat with the previous driver. He looked all upset and then started to drive. It must have been his bad day or something. He didn't pay attention to the lady who wanted to get off the bus. She yelled, "Yoohoo! I was trying to get off, bus driver!".
The bus driver replied, " You gotta make your mind then!"
The lady replied back, "I gave you the stop sign!"
The driver didn't reply he kept on driving again and then stopped at the next bus stop.
A black guy walked from back row seat toward to the bus driver. He said to the bus driver, " You know you're an ASSHOLE, right?!"

Snap...

Finally arrived at the Moos tower. Lame name. Got my teeth cleaned up. The student dentist is so so so nice and pretty too.
Done.
Walked my way to the elevator. Suddenly some guy yelled out for me to hold the door. He turned out very old and short. He was wearing this baseball hat with a big ass writing on it. VIETNAM.
I went ahead, " Hey I like Phao..."
He was all smiley and replied with his bad English that I didn't have a clue what he was talking about. I asked him to repeat what he said.
He was asking where I come from. I answered Indonesia.
He was all, "Indonesia aaaahh... I like you people.... beeutipool!"
We got out on the same floor. He seemed to be confused with the automatic door. I told him to go with the door that looks like "merry go round" which I never like. He went ahead.
When we were outside he was trying to pick up a conversation with me. His English was so bad that I had to ask him to say it again.
He wanted me to tell him how to say thank you in Indonesian language. I told him and he said it right.
I gave him a bye but he was trying to hold me and he went ahead, " I love you..."
I laughed and I told him, " No no no you don't love me. You like me"
He went ahead, " Yes yes... I like you". He then laughed.
Then we said bye.

I was like... no shit. I just couldn't wait to get on a bus taking me back.
2 random weirdos is enough for a day.

That Netflix

I have a thing for watching documentaries. I've watched Man on Wire, Born into Brothels, Planet Earth and some others I forgot. I think I am going senile.

Beside documentaries, I am interested in foreign movies. It is exciting to watch movies that do not have Americans talking or swearing. On swearing; I know how to swear in my mother-language but swearing in French I think it's cool. Those who don't know French might think I try to say something romantic. Oo...la la.

Anyway, documentaries and foreign movies are the main things that interest me with Netflix. They also have the device to watch movies on a TV which we haven't yet decided to purchase.

So far, I've watched Shawshank Redemption and a documentary called WarDance. It is a very heart-moving documentary about children in Uganda that have suffered in the war. Their parents were killed brutally. Some of them were kidnapped and forced to become child soldiers and they were taught to kill people in cold blood. No bloody scenes or killing in this documentary, it is about how music and dance made them happy and helped them forget their fear. They managed to win prizes in WarDance competition.

So far I like Netflix and the variety of movies they have. No complain so far.

The package was sent finally. The red stole, the beret and some key chains and magnets from Michigan & Chicago where Hubby and I traveled to last month. I tend to buy key chains or magnets if I go somewhere and send them to my Mom. So she could put the magnets on the fridge and see them everytime and think about me and the places I visit.

Knowing my Mom's good reaction about my hand-knit lace stole makes me want to make her another one. I am thinking one in natural color. I hope it will be something to cheer her up a bit since I am not coming back home this year.

Found it via Ravelry a tutorial/pattern for toe-up socks with heel flap. The pattern calls for fingering weight yarn. I am working on ...I think it's DK weight yarn with needle size 5. Hmm... Oh well I'll try anyway.

Currently working on this method. I've got the toe part good enough. No extra "bumps" so far. For the heel part I have tried the method "lifestyle" but still I have holes. I am going to browse more for other method or using needles with 2 size down for the heel part so the stitches on that area are tight as ass. Yeah... tight-ass socks.

Summer is here... I miss my family back home.
Other than feeling homesick all the time, I have finished the shawl for my Mom. The pattern is print o wave stole by Eunny Jang via Ravelry. Talking about Ravelry, it is a very useful site for knitters and crocheters if they are lost in thoughts of what projects they want to make. From this site I have found a good friend, Rina. I really appreciate her friendship. She makes me happy and feeling less miserable living in this Lamesota. It's a state in the U.S that is very very lame and the winter kills you from the inside. No kidding.
